Filled with a passion for creative and unique architecture, Don’s designs demonstrate an understanding that what the client has asked for is not always what they want. Fascinated by the entire architectural process, pencil drawing to built-form, Don is in his element meeting clients, taking their brief, unpacking and interpreting their needs and creating a tailored design. Cymon Allfrey Architects recognise the significance of their working relationships with their clients and believe they have a responsibility to ensure their client’s journey is as stress-free as possible and strive to build professional, sincere and honest relationships that remain strong even after the project is complete.
With so much trust put in designers, Don is dedicated to providing the best possible outcome for clients and feels privileged to be a part of their design journey.

Whilst designing and building our award winning home, we were delighted with the process of the initial engagement and how the team from Cymon Allfrey Architects worked with us to achieve a unique contemporary design which sat perfectly on a section that demanded something special.

Along the way we worked as all good partnerships should – client challenging architect – architect challenging client. We compromised when it was necessary, but never at the expense of design integrity. We both recognised the importance of the build and the team at Cymon Allfrey Architects made it a priority to work closely with all contractors, celebrating the milestones and enjoying the successes. It was a project that met the ultimate criteria – we all enjoyed the process, the camaraderie along the way and most importantly the final outcome.
