The Bay of Plenty branch have recently separated from the Waikato region, as both provinces have experienced a membership growth that has enabled us to become more focused in our own respective regions. We will however continue to combine with the Waikato region for Regional Design Awards and National CPD programs.
The BOP branch encompasses Lower Coromandel, Tauranga, Mt Maunganui, Rotorua, Whakatane and western parts of the east cape.
The branch meet monthly on the 3rd Thursday, except those months that fall on the regional CPD program and National Conference. The venues usually alternate between Tauranga & Rotorua. Meetings generally start at 5.30pm with a social gathering, often followed by a presentation, branch meeting and casual meal after.
The BOP branch have close ties with the local tertiary institutions and have a focus on marketing ADNZ within the region and raising the profile. We have recently purchased display panels for exhibitions and promoting the ADNZ Awards on tour.
