Description:

Dr Julia Gatley is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Architecture and Planning at The University of Auckland. She is the editor of Long Live the Modern: New Zealand's New Architecture, 1904-1984 (Auckland University Press, 2008), which encourages the heritage recognition of New Zealand's modern architecture, and Group Architects: Towards a New Zealand Architecture (Auckland University Press, 2010). Her book on Athfield Architects will be launched in June 2012, and is the basis for this lecture series.
