Profile

Passionate about understanding your needs and discovering your personal style, Peter Were provides complete design solutions for new-build, renovation and refurbishment projects.

Trained in architecture, Peter practiced interior design for a decade before coming back into architecture "from the inside out".
His design philosophy integrates the disciplines of architecture and interior design to create sophisticated spaces with an underlying classicism that transcends trends and fads.
This approach has led to recent engagements on Heritage-listed properties as consultant and designer.

Peter brings over 30 years' experience to interior design and specification including kitchens and bathrooms, hotel interior design, bespoke furnishings commission and procurement, pool and landscaping design, yacht interiors and interior styling; and 20 years' experience with local Council Resource and Building Consent submissions.

Client Reviews

Weaving stories layered with richness and intrigue, Peter Were produces design as individual as his clients. Peter's architecture is shaped primarily by his client's interior spatial needs rather than an external aesthetic, although he's not afraid to deliver a completely new expression if it's appropriate.
